Will this Starlink roof mount work with my dish?
Yes for both current dishes — the mast uses the same 1.5 inch pipe thread Starlink uses. If you have an older round dish, message us first and we'll confirm before you order.
Can I install this Starlink roof mount on a metal roof?
Yes. It clamps to standard roof rails without drilling in most cases, and for metal, shingle, wood or tile we include the correct anchors in the box. If you're not sure which your roof is, the metal-vs-shingle-vs-flat guide walks through it.
Is professional installation required?
No. Most homeowners fit it in 30–45 minutes with basic hand tools. The steps ship in the box, and if anything is unclear you can email us a photo of your setup and we'll talk you through it.
Does this Starlink roof mount survive strong wind?
Yes — it's rated for sustained winds up to 100 mph when installed to spec, with powder-coated steel and 304 stainless hardware. A clear, low view often beats a higher, exposed one, so check the sky before you commit to a spot.
Do I need to buy a pipe adapter as well?
No. The 1.5 inch pipe thread your dish mounts to is built into the mount, so the official pipe adapter isn't needed — nothing else is required to fit the dish.
Do I need to drill?
Depends on the surface. Existing rails and masts are usually clamp-on. Brick, stucco and timber need anchors, which are included in the box.
How high should it sit?
As high as you can get it without putting an obstruction in the sky view. A clear view beats extra height every time — check with the obstruction tool in the app before you commit to a spot.
Do I have to pick an option at checkout?
No — checkout is already set to "Roof Mount" for you. That Payhip listing carries both this roof mount and the wall bracket, so if you somehow see the wall bracket there, email us before you pay and we'll sort it out.
